The City of Blaine Safety Services Division will host two bike helmet fitting and sales events at City Hall. Bike helmets will be sold for each and will be available in a variety of colors and sizes ranging from toddler to adult. All helmets are Bell® brand helmets and comply with U.S. CPSC Safety Standards.

* River Ride Bike ParadeRiver Ride Bike Parade

In St. Cloud. Routes of 3 and 10 miles combine the River Ride Bike Parade and the Mayor’s Bike Ride in one giant Bike Celebration! This event is designed to get families out and active while educating everyone on bike safety and how to commute through the city. It is required that all participants where a helmet and follow all street laws while biking. The route will mainly take place on designated bike routes through the city.

Rides of 12, 27 or 62 miles to benefit the Diabetes Association. registration fee and 0 fundraising minimum.

* ALS Bike TrekALS Bike Trek

Time: 8:00 am

The ALS Bike Trek MN is a charity bike ride created by ALS TDI to raise awareness of ALS and funding toward an effective treatment. Routes of 14, 34 and 52 miles from Big Marine Park Reserve (17495 Manning Trail N., Marine on St. Croix). Fundraising encouraged but not required.

* Try the Track DayTry the Track Day

Time: 1:00 pm

At NSC Velodrome, Blaine. Open time for the general public to experience riding the velodrome from 1-3PM. Cost is which includes the use of a rental track bike. Riders' own shoes and pedals can be installed on rental bikes. Those with their own bikes will need approval of director before using them on the velodrome.

* Ride for the GreenwaysRide for the Greenways

Time: 12:00 pm

Bike Friendly Apple Valley, Valley Bike & Ski, HaveFunBiking.com, The City of Rosemount, Dakota County and The City of Apple Valley for a Community Ride with a purpose, to promote the development of Bike Greenways and Bike friendly sustainable communities we can all enjoy and share. We will start and finish at the Minnesota Zoo Puma Picnic Area and will ride through Apple Valley and Rosemount. Helmets required for all riders. Food and drinks provided at the start, finish and at rest stops along the way. There will be a family ride of about 11 miles as well as a street ride of about 30 miles for more advanced riders.
